Payroll Specialist Dublin West Our client, a growing and well-established business in Dublin West, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their finance team permanently. This role offers full accountability for complex payroll processing while also partnering across Finance, HR, and other departments to deliver the best possible payroll outcomes. The successful candidate will oversee payroll for up to 250 employees, including benefits and benefit-in-kind processing, while acting as the key liaison with the outsourced payroll provider. You will advise on critical payroll periods in advance, ensure compliance, and continuously seek improvements to processes and systems. In addition, you will contribute to reconciliations, general ledger work, and reporting tasks, making this a diverse position that combines payroll expertise with wider accounting responsibilities. Location: Dublin West Salary: €45,000 €55,000 (DOE) Whats on Offer: Permanent, full-time role in a growing organisation Flexible start time (between 7am & 9am) Competitive salary €4555k Onsite parking and staff canteen Supportive, team-oriented culture with strong exposure to owners and senior management Career development with ongoing opportunities to upskill in payroll, accounting, pensions, and compliance Key Responsibilities: End-to-end processing of complex fortnightly and monthly payrolls Manage payroll inputs and changes, including starters, leavers, bonuses, statutory leave, and BIK Process and administer benefits (including benefit-in-kind), ensuring accuracy and compliance Collaborate with outsourced payroll provider to guarantee timely, accurate submissions Act as a trusted advisor to HR, and management, providing forward planning and guidance ahead of critical periods Ensure employees are fully informed on pension schemes, principles, and upcoming auto-enrolment (effective 1st January 2026) Maintain accurate payroll data and records in line with GDPR, audits and legislation Reconcile payroll accounts and support month-end/year-end reporting Assist with finance duties including reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and general reporting Drive continuous improvements in payroll systems, processes, and reporting Skills & Experience Required: Minimum 3 years payroll experience in a complex payroll environment IPASS qualification essential Strong experience with benefits, pensions, and benefit-in-kind processing Proven ability to manage outsourced payroll providers Confident, accountable, and comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders Forward-thinking, solution-orientated, and proactive in identifying risks/issues Strong Excel and payroll/finance systems knowledge (Sage or equivalent) Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Commitment to ongoing professional development and upskilling in payroll and pensions This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and accountable Payroll Specialist who wants to take ownership of a critical function, work directly with senior leadership, and continue to grow their expertise while also gaining exposure to broader finance responsibilities.
