Overview:
The Food Runner /Floor Staff serve food and drink according to managers and senior staff instructions, clear tables and carry out general cleaning of the restaurant.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure that the dining areas are kept clean at all times.
* Arrange and set the tables.
* Take orders from clients for drinks and food at the restaurant
* Clear and set up tables, as well as to keep tables and dining areas clean and set for new diners.
* Serve food and drinks in accordance with the Standard of Service
* Discharge excellent customer care in carrying out duties.
* Charge for food under more experienced staff's supervision, or, once the required training has been undertaken and/or the required expertise has been acquired, independently.
* Serve alcohol in line with Irish regulations.
* Additional duties as required, to comply with any reasonable request by supervisor or Management.
Qualifications:
* Familiar with and capability of adherence to HACCP requirements/certifications.
* Knowledge of basic food regulations based on HMS (Hygiene Management System).
* Knowledge of Health and Safety rules and procedures.
* Know the menu and provenience of food and wine
* Ability to establish priorities, and to proceed with objectives.
* Previous experience in a similar role.
