Job Title: Catering Assistant Location: The Silken Thomas, Kildare Town Job Type: Full-time / Part-time About the Role The Silken Thomas is currently recruiting a Catering Assistant to join our busy and professional kitchen team.
This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities· Assisting chefs with basic food preparation· Prepping and serving Starters, Sandwiches, Salads & Desserts· Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen· Ensuring food preparation and storage areas are kept clean and organised· Assisting with deliveries and stock rotation· Following all HACCP, health & safety, and food hygiene procedures· Supporting the kitchen team during service periods· Carrying out any other duties as required by the Head Chef or Kitchen Management Candidate Requirements· Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential· A positive attitude and willingness to learn· Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment· Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene· Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends· Good communication skills· Reliable and punctual· Permitted to work in Ireland· Reliable mode of transport to work What We Offer· Competitive rates of pay· Flexible working hours· A supportive and friendly team environment· Opportunities for progression within the business· Staff meals while on duty If you are motivated, dependable, and keen to be part of a well-established hospitality business, we would love to hear from you.
