Financial Controller Role About the Company We are partnering with a dynamic and ambitious Dublin based SME experiencing significant growth.
Operating in a fast-paced environment, they are seeking a highly capable Financial Controller to lead and develop the finance function, ensure robust financial controls, and provide the strategic insight required to support their continued expansion.
Role Overview The Financial Controller will play a key leadership role within the finance team, overseeing all aspects of financial management, including regulatory and financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial planning and analysis, and the development of internal control policies and procedures.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to partner effectively with senior stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities Lead the finance function including management accounting, financial reporting, transactional processing, and compliance.
Deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Prepare detailed management reports with variance analysis, commentary, and actionable insights.
Drive the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and treasury management.
Develop and maintain robust internal controls and financial systems, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Support strategic decision-making through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
Manage external relationships including auditors, banks, and tax advisors.
Lead, mentor, and develop a growing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Assist with strategic projects including acquisitions, systems implementations, and expansion initiatives.
Candidate Profile Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Proven experience in a similar Financial Controller or senior finance role within a similar business Strong technical accounting knowledge Demonstrated ability to improve processes, systems, and controls in a scaling environment.
High level of Excel proficiency and familiarity with modern ERP systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
