We are seeking a Senior CPU Verification Engineer to join an advanced semiconductor design team working on next-generation CPU and So C technologies.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Chip, CPU, and So C Architects to validate cutting-edge micro-architecture concepts and ensure designs meet the highest quality standards ahead of product launch.
This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-performance CPU designs in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment.
Responsibilities Collaborate with CPU and So C Architects to understand architectural concepts and high-level system requirements.
Develop detailed verification test plans and coverage strategies based on architecture and micro-architecture specifications.
Define and implement scalable and portable verification methodologies across multiple environments.
Build and maintain verification environments, including: Checkers and scoreboards.
Assertions.
Trackers and coverage models.
Develop verification plans and testbenches for assigned functional domains.
Execute verification activities including: Design bring-up.
Regression testing.
Feature enablement and debug of test failures.
Track and report verification progress using metrics such as coverage, bugs, and feature completion.
What We Are Looking For Deep expertise in micro-processor verification and CPU architectures, including areas such as: Cache coherence.
Memory ordering and consistency.
Prefetching.
Address translation and memory management.
Strong experience with Random Instruction Sequencing (RIS) at block, subsystem, and full-chip levels.
Proven experience leading or mentoring a small team of verification engineers.
Exposure to advanced verification techniques such as formal verification, assertions, and silicon bring-up.
In-depth understanding of CPU micro-architectures and performance-critical design features.
Experience writing: Verification test plans.
Portable testbenches and transactors.
Hands-on experience with verification tools and methodologies, including: Simulators.
Functional and code coverage.
Waveform debug tools.
Formal proof tools.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of a block or unit within a larger CPU design.
