Facilities Engineer – Utilities & HVAC
We are currently seeking a Facilities Engineer to support the delivery and performance of critical utilities and HVAC systems within a highly regulated biopharma manufacturing environment. This role involves providing hands-on engineering support, driving continuous improvement, and managing small to mid-sized projects related to facilities and utilities infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
On a typical day, you may be involved in:
* Designing and specifying GMP-compliant clean and grey utilities, HVAC systems, piping, ducting, and associated controls
* Leading and supporting projects for new installations or upgrades to utilities and HVAC equipment
* Troubleshooting complex equipment and systems issues and recommending corrective actions
* Supporting equipment selection, design reviews, installation, and site acceptance
* Collaborating with validation and quality teams on design documentation and execution of validation protocols
* Assisting in technical investigations involving utilities, HVAC, or controls systems
* Developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions for maintenance and operations
* Preparing engineering evaluations, test plans, and executing change control documentation
* Reading and interpreting P&IDs, wiring diagrams, layouts, and technical specifications
* Coordinating and supervising contractors across mechanical, electrical, and automation disciplines
* Enforcing safety and compliance standards, ensuring a clean and well-regulated work environment
About You:
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Clear and professional communicator with solid interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
* Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively
Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree (Level 8) in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or a related Engineering discipline
* 3+ years of relevant experience in a regulated industry for Facilities Engineer level
* 5+ years of experience for Senior Engineer level roles
* Direct experience with clean/grey utilities and/or HVAC systems in a GMP or manufacturing environment is highly desirable
