We're looking for a motivated and reliable Solar PV Labourer/Electrical Assistant to join our busy installation team. This is a crucial support role where you'll be working side-by-side with our experienced Solar PV Electrician and Installation Engineer, helping to deliver high-quality solar energy solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, hands-on individual who is ready to learn and isn't afraid of hard work. The role involves flexible contract options to suit both your needs and our fluctuating project demands, offering a great way to gain experience in the booming renewable energy sector. We need someone with a full, clean driving licence who can jump in and assist with everything from heavy lifting and site preparation to essential errands and on-site logistical support, ensuring our projects run smoothly and efficiently from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
* On-Site Assistance: Work directly with the Solar PV Electrician and Engineer on various domestic and commercial installations, assisting with the physical installation of solar panels, mounting systems, inverters, and battery storage.
* Material Management: Assist with loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing tools and materials at the workshop and on site, ensuring the team has everything they need to work efficiently.
* Site Preparation: Help prepare installation sites, which may include setting up scaffolding, ensuring safety barriers are in place, and general clean-up.
* Tool Maintenance: Keep tools, equipment, and company vehicles clean, organised, and in good working order.
* Logistical Support: Perform essential errands, such as picking up urgent parts from suppliers or making drop-offs as needed.
* General Labour: Provide general physical labour as required to ensure the smooth, timely, and safe completion of all projects.
* Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies on every job site.
* Full, Clean Irish Driving Licence is essential.
* Proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions (working at height is required).
* A strong, positive work ethic and a desire to learn new skills.
* Reliable, punctual, and highly organised with an eye for detail.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* Must be able to work effectively as part of a small team.
Desirable (But Not Essential)
* Prior experience in construction, roofing, or general labour.
* Basic understanding or interest in electrical work or the solar PV industry.
* Relevant safety certifications (e.g., Working at Height, Manual Handling).
