Job Opportunity: Lead Nurse
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced nurse to lead our nursing team. This is a key leadership role for a nurse who thrives in a people-first, resident-focused setting.
* Work closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure delivery of exceptional care in line with regulatory standards and organisational values.
* Support clinical oversight, mentor staff, promote continuous improvement, and ensure every resident feels safe, respected, and cared for.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Director of Nursing in daily and strategic management of the home.
* Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and all relevant legislation.
* Promote a resident-first culture through development of individualised care plans.
* Provide clinical guidance and mentoring to nursing and care teams.
* Contribute to recruitment, induction, supervision, and performance management.
* Champion a warm, inclusive environment that prioritises dignity, safety, and independence.
* Drive continuous quality improvement and support internal and external audits.
* Liaise with residents, families, GPs, and allied health professionals.
* Assist with scheduling, risk management, and clinical governance.
Requirements:
* NMBI-registered nurse (RGN, RPN or RNID).
* Minimum 6 years post-registration nursing experience.
* At least 3 years in a senior or supervisory clinical role.
* Strong working knowledge of HIQA regulations and elder care best practices.
* Proven leadership, decision-making, and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and team motivation abilities.
* Passion for delivering resident-focused, high-quality care.
