Floating Support Worker
Location: Belfast, Hours: Full-time permanent role.

Job Summary:
Our clients' Floating Support Service provides individualised support to young people aged 16-25 who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or need help maintaining their tenancy. The service aims to empower young people to build the skills and confidence to maintain their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all young people receive appropriate care from qualified staff.
* Meet the needs of young people in partnership with them and relevant professionals.
* Establish a positive relationship with young people to support them in creating a safe home environment.
* To identify Support Plans in partnership with young people and professionals, take the lead in creating safety plans, and ensure regular reviews.
* Comprehensively plan (with young people and key agencies) and participate in decision-making relating to move-on from MACS.
* Provide information, advice, and assistance on claiming benefits and accessing other relevant agencies and services.

Essential Criteria:
* 1 year's experience working with young people in supported housing or community-based support or similar environments.
* Degree in Social Work, Youth and Community Work, or similar, with 6 months' experience working with young people in supported housing or community-based support.
* Experience of assessing risk and safety planning to keep young people safe.
* Experience of assessing need and support planning for young people.
* Ability to develop an approach to practice based on reflection and feedback.
* Resilience and compassion in a challenging environment.
* A full, current driving license, and access to a car insured for business use.
