Reporting to:Maintenance ManagerLocation:Station Road, TipperaryBusiness Sector:Ingredients - ManufacturingOverviewThis position is responsible for all mechanical maintenance of process, utility, and facility equipment to support manufacturing operations and maximise asset performance.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:Carry out all work safely, cost effectively and to the highest GMP standards, while maintaining good relations with our suppliers, contractors, customers and fellow employeesCarrying out all routine and non-routine mechanical tasks delegated, according to appropriate procedures and standards.Ensure Maintenance Manager is aware of any problems on site as soon as possible.Ensure that all relevant information is passed to the next maintenance shift.Executing site preventive maintenance routinesMaintain appropriate recordsRepairing equipment malfunctions while identifying and resolving reoccurring downtime/inefficient operational issuesAssisting in construction, commissioning, and qualification of equipment.Involvement in developing maintenance procedures and equipment files. Assisting with generation, review, and revision of maintenance documentation as necessary.Selecting of appropriate spare parts to ensure maximum availability of equipment.Operating utilities and equipment safely and efficiently, whilst maximizing uptime.Collecting and analysing equipment data to report on equipment performance.Assisting with rolling shutdown preparation and execution.Training other staff in department procedures and techniques, as required.Troubleshoot, maintain, and support Utility and Manufacturing equipment to enable the manufacture of quality products.Responsible and accountable for the safe accomplishment of all activities within the maintenance team whilst following all statutory, environmental, regulatory (cGMP), corporate, site and team practices.Reporting any EHS incidents and/or near misses.Ensuring housekeeping standards are maintained to a high standard.Assist engineering in executing projects.Perform all necessary maintenance PMs and repairs.Attend any meetings deemed necessary to ensure continuity within the maintenance department, during normal working hours, subject to flexibility at start or end of the working day.Supporting a culture of Continuous ImprovementAny other duties as directed by your managerRequirementsThe ideal candidate must possess the following:Qualified fitter with a recognised apprenticeship essentialMinimum of 5 years' experience post apprentice experience within a similar rolePossess demonstrable specialised technical skill across mechanical areasPump repairs (mechanical seals, motor replacement, etc.)Valve repairs (seal changing, actuator replacement, etc.)Filter replacementsPipe fabricationGeneral mechanical fabricationAbility to work on own initiativeWorking WeekThe working week is on a four cycle 12-hour shift rotation.To be considered for this role you will be redirected to and must complete the application process on our careers page.
