We are recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager to cover Cork and surrounding areas
The Business Development Manager will develop and implement new business strategies through sourcing, negotiating and closing new opportunities in line with company objectives. The role will also entail responsibility for the management of existing clients and delivery of agreed sales targets and KPIs.
What would your day to day look like?
* Outbound calls and visits to sales leads with promoting and selling our Fuel and Telematics portfolios, with focus on the fleet and corporate sector
* Ability to cold call and create meeting opportunities verbally
* Ability to communicate clearly, professionally and facilitate meetings
* Generate and manage the pipeline whilst creating new sales opportunities
* Proactively manage all new customers from leads converted up until they reach 12 months tenure.
* Where applicable maintain existing customer relationships for a large portion of the fuel card and Telematics business which involves customer retention and regular price negotiation initiated by customers. Retention includes contacting customers who have ceased to buy.
* Work to achieve set Gross Margin / CPL targets and have commercial acumen to maximise on the profit of each deal
* Create Value Added Service opportunities for the wider group
* Update management team weekly on KPIs and visits
* Participating in structured weekly meetings which facilitate the sales process, information sharing, potential customer discussion and planning tactics.
What do we expect of you?
* Must have a full clean category B driving license
* Minimum of 3 years sales experience, ideally in field or B2B sales
* Proven to be excellent at self-generating new business
* Previous experience working within telecoms is advantageous
