The Hot Box Sauna is Ireland's leading sauna and wellness experience, offering a unique blend of relaxation, community, and wellbeing. With multiple thriving locations, we are expanding fast and looking for a Chief Operating Officer to oversee day-to-day operations, lead strategic projects, manage budgets, and ensure seamless execution of initiatives from concept to delivery. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong commercial acumen, technical savvy, and the ability to translate executive vision into actionable plans.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
* Implement efficient processes and standards to support scalability.
* Implement tools and systems that streamline operations and improve consistency across the
* organization.
* Manage operational budgets and monitor performance against cost and efficiency targets.
* Serve as the CEO's key partner in scaling the business sustainably and efficiently.
* Own site-level performance and drive margin improvements.
* Provide accurate reporting and analysis to the Board and support business planning.
* Drive digital transformation and e-commerce initiatives.
* Identify operational inefficiencies and drive cost-saving, quality-enhancing solutions.
* Manage and grow high-performing teams, working closely with HR on talent development.
* Analyse pricing, occupancy, and customer behaviour to drive revenue optimisation.
* Support the CEO in development of new revenue streams.
* Ensure technology systems and platforms meet operational needs.
* Continuously improve operational processes, controls, and reporting to support ongoing growth.
* Effectively lead, manage and further develop a team of direct reports.
About You
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and logical reasoning abilities, with ability to make tough decisions, and foster a culture of accountability and innovation. A natural team leader, passionate about developing and nurturing talent.
Required Skills and Experience
* Proven 5+ years of experience in senior operational leadership roles within a fast-paced, multi-site or service-oriented environment.
* Tech-savvy with experience in implementing and utilizing e-commerce and auditory platforms.
* Experience with reporting and creating dashboards to monitor operational performance.
* Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Experience managing complex projects and delivering results under tight deadlines.
* Proven track record of ownership and accountability, ability to identify risks and navigate challenging discussions effectively.
* Excellent track record in people management, focused on developing strong performing teams.
* Right to work in Ireland (Work Permit Sponsorship is not available).
* Ability to work from the office location in Dublin 2.
