Overview:
Responsible for Sales of products within designated accounts in a specific geographical area. Achieve Quarterly and annual Sales targets in line with divisional and company business strategy. Build long term relationships with all relevant personnel in practices/businesses within designated territories. Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure optimum results. Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times. Report sales activities in a timely manner in accordance with company requirements.
This is a 6 Month Contract role.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
* Calls on accounts in designated area in line with divisional and company standards
* Develops business and market share within accounts through SMART objectives and agenda
* Plans and organises time and resources effectively to meet all goals and objectives
* Takes Ownership and accountability for activity within assigned accounts and territory
* Ability to make multiple product presentations utilising appropriate and relevant sales and marketing aids
* Demonstrates a sound knowledge of all products and services to ensure optimum results
* Basic working knowledge of competitor's products, pricing and programs
* Identifies and develops opportunities within designated accounts to specific business objectives
* Adjusts work priorities accordingly in line with commercial requirements
* Complete all reports as required in a timely, accurate and consistent manner - Report sales activities in a timely manner in accordance with company requirements.
* Record and report all suspect adverse events to QPPV as require under company policy
* Effective organisation of all company materials
* Understanding and adherence to all company policies

Knowledge and Experience Required
* Candidates must be self-motivated and must also have sound decision-making skills, excellent written and oral communication skills and must be IT literate - familiar with the practical application of IT in a commercial environment, ideally using MS Office. A knowledge of budgetary control and project management skills are desirable. They must have excellent client-facing skills, both verbally and in writing, sound time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure with an ability to prioritise. They must also have ability to handle confidential issues, tact and diplomacy, an attention to detail and are persuasive and able to successfully influence others. An ability to operate and communicate effectively at various levels, both within and outside of the Company is desirable as are the ability to identify and exploit new business opportunities, energy and resourcefulness with the ability to initiate and manage change and the ability to act as a team player.
Essential:
* Educated to Advanced level (or equivalent) and some further education to a degree standard or equivalent
Relevant Industry Qualification:
* At least two years' experience with companion animal veterinary product sales in an Irish environment
