Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Advisor We are currently seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Advisor to join our team, supporting the safe and compliant delivery of projects across the Water & Wastewater sector. Location Based out of HQ, Tipperary or Cork Site (Glanmire) with travel to project sites nationwide. Type Permanent, Full-Time Role Purpose The ideal candidate will support the implementation and continuous improvement of Cantwells HSE management systems across multiple sites, ensuring all works are delivered safely, in compliance with statutory requirements, and aligned with company standards. Key Responsibilities Support the implementation and maintenance of the company HSE management across all projects Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews, ensuring corrective actions are tracked and closed out Assist in the preparation and review of risk assessments, method statements and environmental plans Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with relevant Irish H&S legislation and industry standards Investigate incidents, near misses and non-conformances, and implement corrective and preventative measures Provide HSE advice and guidance to Project Managers, Site Supervisors and site personnel Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and induction training for site teams Support the preparation and submission of HSE documentation during tender and pre-construction phases Maintain HSE records including inspections, training, audits and statutory compliance documentation Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and ensure adherence to company and project requirements Promote a proactive safety culture across all projects and departments Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to HSE reporting and KPIs Ensure compliance with client-specific HSE requirements and reporting standards Candidate Requirements A minimum of 23 years experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within construction, utilities or water/wastewater sector Third level qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental or related discipline Proven experience in risk assessments, audits and incident investigation Strong knowledge of Irish health, safety and environmental legislation Experience working on live construction or industrial project sites Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication skills, with ability to engage with teams at all levels Strong organisational and documentation skills with a high attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office Full clean driving licence What We Offer Competitive salary and career progression opportunities Company Vehicle and work mobile phone Company pension scheme to support your long-term financial wellbeing Comprehensive employee healthcare insurance A supportive and collaborative team
