Proficiency in IT, particularly in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, is essential for success in this role. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
In addition to financial expertise, the management accountant will require attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Experience as a management accountant or in a similar role is preferred, ideally within the construction sector.

The management accountant will play a vital role in providing financial analysis and strategic support to management, preparing budgets, developing financial forecasts, and overseeing the month-end close process.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Analysing financial performance against key business metrics and providing insights to management.
* Developing and maintaining financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
* Ensuring Revenue compliance across all aspects of the business.
* Collaborating with department heads to track and manage departmental budgets.
* Supporting decision-making processes by providing financial insights and recommendations.
* Assisting in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
