We’re hiring a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on a key civil engineering project in North Dublin. This is a pivotal role in our infrastructure division where you'll play a central part in shaping project success through strong commercial leadership, collaboration, and strategic input.

Responsibilities
Your Role
You’ll take full commercial responsibility for a major infrastructure project, working closely with our Contracts Manager, Project Manager, and wider site team to ensure excellence in delivery, value, and risk management.
What You’ll Do
* Own and lead the commercial strategy of the project
* Manage cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle
* Prepare tenders and negotiate contracts with subcontractors
* Lead the preparation and agreement of valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Monitor and report on risk, opportunity, and commercial performance
* Mentor and oversee junior QS staff
* Collaborate closely with pre-construction, design, and delivery teams
* Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures
Experience
What You Bring
* Proven experience in a Senior QS role on large-scale civils or infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of NEC and traditional contracts
* Track record of commercial leadership on contracts over €5M+
* Ability to lead a team and influence commercial outcomes across multiple stakeholders
* Skilled in cost reporting, valuations, claims preparation, and contract negotiation
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with commercial acumen and attention to detail
* Ability to balance assertiveness with diplomacy when dealing with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline
* Chartered or working toward chartership (RICS, SCSI, CIOB, or equivalent)
* Familiar with CVR, BBS (Behavioural Based Safety), dispute resolution, legal frameworks
* Continuous professional development in contract law, negotiation, and industry trends
