This Role
Based in a rural area on the Carlow/Wicklow/Wexford border. This is a person-centred role that involves providing care to a male (37) nonverbal, wheelchair user with a quiet, gentle disposition, who requires full assistance with care and support needs in his own environment.

Essential Qualities
· Level 5/6 Healthcare or Social Care degree, or equivalent experience in home care
· Full clean driver's license
· Have a caring, positive and dependable personality.
· Excellent communication skills
· An understanding of the social model of disability
· Ability to create plans & activities that will enable positive daily living.
Duties
· Provide full assistance with personal care and hygiene
· Food preparation
· Keep a homely environment, which includes daily domestic duties
· Attending and assisting to community outings and social activities and events when needed.
· To undertake other work that may be assigned from time to time
Other information
· The location of this role is rural, there is no public transport serving the area, driving own's car essential.
· Garda Vetting will need to be completed
