The Merrion Hotel located in the heart of Georgian Dublin, opposite Government Buildings, is the capital's most luxurious five-star hotel and a proud member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
Created from an impeccable restoration of four Georgian townhouses, the 142-bedroom and suite hotel is arranged around two 18th-century style gardens.
The Merrion is home to Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, a two-star Michelin restaurant, The Cellar Bar, The Garden Room, and the intimate No. 23 Cocktail Bar.
Another key feature of The Merrion Hotel is its stunning art collection – the largest private collection of 19th and 20th century art in Ireland.
This art collection provides the inspiration for The Merrion's Art Tea.
The Merrion Hotel has partnered with Flow Hospitality Training to provide a bespoke learning management system for all of our team members.
The Merrion is the first hotel in Ireland to provide accredited and tailor-made training via Flow Hospitality Training.
The Events Executive plays a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of all events at the hotel, including meetings, groups, conferences, social functions, and luxury weddings.
Working closely with clients and various hotel departments, the Events Executive ensures that every detail is delivered to the highest standard, in line with the brand expectations of The Merrion.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to event inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Assist clients through the event planning process, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
Prepare detailed event orders, proposals, contracts, and invoices.
Coordinate internal communication across departments (e.g. F&B, Housekeeping, Front Office, AV) to ensure smooth execution.

Support the Events Manager during on-site execution of events, including coordination with staff, vendors, and guests.
Monitor event logistics to ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and guest expectations.
Maintain accurate and organized client files and event records.
Ensure that all events reflect the hotel's service standards and brand image.
Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and guest preferences.
Requirements
1–3 years' experience in event planning or sales within the hospitality sector.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client service skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficient in systems preferred (e.g., Opera).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Impeccable grooming and presentation in line with luxury hospitality standards.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
