Team LeaderSt. Margarets NetworkSt. Margarets Network is currently recruiting a Team Leader to work closely with the people we support and their families and their circle of support in their own homes.The Team Leader will guide the delivery of flexible and responsive rights-based supports, with a strong focus on Supported Self-Directed Living (SSDL). The role ensures that supports reflect each individual's will, preference and choice as their needs change over time.St. Margarets is a rights-based organisation. Our work is shaped by partnership, inclusion and accountability.The RoleThe Team Leader reports to the Assistant Person Support Manager and provides leadership to designated number of people supported by their Person Support Team and wider circles of support.The Role InvolvesSupporting individuals to exercise their rights and express their will and preferences in their own homesEnsuring that supports remain flexible, person-centred and outcome focusedMaintaining meaningful engagement with each individual and their circle of supportLeading, mentoring and guiding staff to build the right relationshipsMonitoring and assuring the quality, safety and effectiveness of supportsPromoting a culture of accountability, inclusion and high-quality practiceThe Team Leader has regular and direct engagement with individuals to ensure their voice remains central to all decisions. The role requires oversight of service delivery while also modelling best practice in rights-based support. This role also requires flexible working arrangements to meet the needs of the persons supported.The Ideal CandidateThe Successful Candidate WillHave experience working in rights-based disability servicesDemonstrate strong leadership and mentoring skillsBuild and sustain trusting professional relationshipsSupport the development of effective circles of supportTake a positive, solution-focused approach to challengesTo ensure the support are of high quality and uphold the persons will and preferenceWork flexibly and confidently both independently and within a teamQualificationsLevel 7 degree (minimum Level 6 considered) in Health, Social Care, Applied Social Studies, or a related fieldExperience, Knowledge And SkillsMinimum 3 years experience in a similar roleExperience of individualised support arrangementsKnowledge of current disability policy, human rights legislation, and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD)Experience supporting individuals in a HIQA regulated environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to lead and motivate a teamWell-developed organisational and time management skillsExcellent level of written and spoken EnglishExcellent IT skills including Microsoft 365Full clean drivers licence (Category B for manual cars)DesirableKnowledge of Social Role Valorisation (SRV)Knowledge of Supported Self-Directed Living (SSDL)The Benefits Package IncludesFlexible contracts and working hoursIntensive Induction and Mentoring ProgrammeEducational Scholarship ProgrammeOngoing Learning and DevelopmentIrish Sign Language QualificationJob Diversity and ExperienceCareer DevelopmentContributory Pension SchemePaid Maternity and Paternity LeaveEmployee Assistance ProgrammeBike to Work SchemeLife Insurance - Death in ServiceTo Apply:Upload a CV and cover letter including a valid email address and telephone number.
