Our focus is on smart growth, high quality delivered to meet demand while reducing the cost of the overall delivery. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the team and to manage the program delivery of offsite water and wastewater infrastructure delivery.The Infrastructure Planning and Acquisition Team is responsible for the delivery and pre-positioning of Data Center real estate essential to build the clients cloud infrastructure. The types of projects include land acquisition and pre-development, Build to Suit, lease development and working on the development of incentives for projects. The EMEA Offsite Water and Wastewater Program Manager will be a key stakeholder responsible for coordination across a range of internal and external stakeholders including the Development Managers, Acquisition Managers, Engineering and Design, Utility, Fiber, and Construction teams, as well as a wide variety of external key parties to ensure an end to end coordinated delivery for data center development. The EMEA Offsite Water and Wastewater Program Manager will be a key player in both the execution and site development of our projects. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to make a significant contribution and impact to one of the largest areas of data center portfolios.Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe EMEA Offsite Water and Wastewater Program Manager is part of a team of real estate experts, engineers, and the greater organization to drive an effective, fast, and efficient development process to eliminate gaps between teams and ensure delivery of various Real Estate Development projects. He or she will be responsible for driving appropriate cross team delivery in support of offsite water and wastewater infrastructure to facilitate the construction delivery of critical infrastructure. Tasks will include a range of engagements, processes and communication across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure CO&I water demands are communicated, and associated infrastructure executed in line with construction schedules. Developing relationships with internal and external teams and suppliers to effectively obtain water and wastewater agreements, execute contracts, make payments, and communicate internally and externally with a focus on the need by date of operational infrastructure is essential to the success of the role and CO&I operations. Specifically.Engage with internal and external cross discipline teams during site acquisition processFacilitate onboarding of utility companiesClear communication of clients requirements in relation to water deliveryDevelop relationships with utility companies and execute necessary contracts and connection agreementsProject manage internal/external legal counsel workflow to ensure swift execution of contracts and water agreementsFacilitate payments throughout the stages of projectsOversee offsite water and wastewater infrastructure investments through to completionManage delivery schedule in-line with construction schedules and need by datesAwareness and implementation of sustainable water use projectsProgram manage across a portfolio of projects and stakeholdersWork with teams across the EMEA to manage external stakeholder riskQualificationsThe successful candidate will ideally have a background in water/wastewater treatment and delivery, mechanical or civil engineering or construction project management, is desired but not critical. Being able to work in a dynamic and global organization across multi-disciplinary teams, with a strong desire to continually learn and innovate is also required. You will:Be highly organized and task driven with the ability to motivate others to work with you to achieve results.Have the ability to collaborate across a diverse group of stakeholders both internal and external to achieve results.Have the ability to prioritize tasks, projects, stakeholders, and geographies to deliver results for each project to ensure projects remain on schedule.Drive standardization, automation, and repeatable processes into each area of our practice where each project is unique.Be able to manage project schedules at a high level and be able to report on key project milestones and risks.Have basic knowledge of Real Estate planning and development to include site selection, land acquisition, due diligence processes and contracting, A/E design processes, zoning, permitting, utility delivery, entitlements, etc.Have a basic understanding of route engineering constraints for water projectsHave an executive presence to be able to present justifications for project documentation for approvals as required.Be fluent in business English (additional regional languages are a plus)Work well within a fast-paced organization who is a self-starter, process-minded, and collaborative.ExperienceCandidates must have:Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering, water science policy and management or other related field.5+ Years experience in their field of studyDemonstrated track record of a willingness and ability to consistently deliver projects, creative problem solving, and the ability to push past barriers to achieve full project execution.Ability to engage directly with municipalities, authorities, utility districts, architects/engineers, land agents and attorneys to drive appropriate resolutions to development.Ability to understand, negotiate and execute contracts and payments with external partners and utilitiesThe ability to work independently as well as be a key team memberStrong communication skills, both written and verbalStrong working knowledge of Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint)Flexibility to travel as and when required for meetings and work inspectionsIdeally will have:Direct Data Center development experience.Experience working in a large organization in a business process role.Experience of water science and sustainabilityProgram management experienceExperience in negotiating terms and managing the legal process between utilities and private partnersAdditional InformationOur inspired people share our vision and mission.
