Project Quantity Surveyor Residential (Waterford) A Project Quantity Surveyor is required for a leading residential developer working on a major 120+ unit housing development in South East, Waterford.Check all associated application documentation thoroughly before clicking on the apply button at the bottom of this description.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious QS to join a growing team and take responsibility for the commercial management of a long-term, high-quality residential project from the very beginning.The successful candidate will support the project team in cost control, procurement, subcontractor management, and commercial reporting, ensuring that the project is delivered efficiently, competitively, and within budget.Duties: Prepare, review, and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.Oversee tendering, procurement, and subcontractor package management for residential construction works.Monitor project costs, valuations, variations, and change orders.Liaise closely with the Project Manager, Site Team, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain accurate cost control.Prepare monthly cost reports, progress claims, and financial updates for senior management.Support contract administration, including issuing instructions and assessing subcontractor claims.Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, and client requirements.Contribute to commercial problem-solving and ensure risks are identified and managed.Requirements: Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.24 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally on residential or housing development projects.Strong understanding of budgets, procurement, and contract administration.Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office and cost management/reporting tools.Ability to work effectively as part of a project team and manage multiple commercial priorities.Proactive, detail-focused, and commercially aware.Salary & Benefits: Salary circa €6070k, depending on experience.Excellent benefits package.Long-term career progression with further planned projects in the region.If you are a Project Quantity Surveyor with residential experience and are interested in a long-term opportunity in Dungarvan, please send your CV or contact Amy Maguire for a confidential discussion.Email: GPC will not send any applicants CV to clients without full discussion and prior consent.
