Job Summary
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a critical power generation site. As an Electrical Systems Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting medium voltage electrical systems and associated control infrastructure. This is a challenging role that requires strong technical knowledge and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and troubleshoot MV electrical systems and associated control infrastructure.
• Perform authorised isolation and switching activities.
• Provide technical support on MV/HV motors, SCADA, and distribution systems.
• Supervise third-party contractors to ensure safe and compliant work.
• Participate in the engineer on-call rota for reactive support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Qualified Electrician or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3–5+ years' experience working with MV systems or power generation assets.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control systems, and rotating equipment.
• Proven ability to manage safety compliance and site documentation.
• Hands-on with Jenbacher, MTU, CAT, Perkins, MAN, or MWM engines.
• Familiarity with control panels, commissioning work, and three-phase systems.
