About the Role
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our dairy farm. Your primary duties will include managing a herd of 400 cows, calf-rearing, and ensuring the overall health and well-being of the animals.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse range of livestock, including milking 400 cows, calf-rearing, and general farm work to support day-to-day farm operations
* Develop and implement effective pasture management strategies to optimize grazing and reduce waste
Requirements
* Proven experience in dairy farming, with a strong understanding of animal husbandry and welfare
* Ability to operate and maintain complex machinery and farm equipment safely and efficiently
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
