Procurement Specialist
We are seeking a results-driven Procurement Specialist to optimize procurement workflows, challenge the status quo, and drive strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Procurement Efforts: Improve, streamline, and modernize procurement processes to deliver cost savings and efficiency gains.
* Drive Strategic Sourcing: Develop data-led supplier analysis, negotiations, and sourcing strategies to maximize value.
* Foster Supplier Excellence: Develop robust partnerships with vendors and lead supplier performance reviews to ensure exceptional service delivery.
* Enhance Procurement Systems: Identify process inefficiencies and lead improvements using tools like Sage Professional to enhance system functionality.
* Collaborate Across Departments: Anticipate procurement needs and deliver timely, budget-friendly solutions through effective collaboration with stakeholders.
* Manage Inventory and Assets: Lead stock, tool, and fleet management with precision and accountability to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
* Optimize Equipment Usage: Monitor and optimize hired plant and equipment for cost-effectiveness and availability to drive business success.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated procurement experience in mechanical, engineering, or construction sectors (bonus points if you have industry-specific expertise).
* Able to take initiative, lead improvements, and implement process changes to drive business outcomes.
* Strong commercial acumen with negotiation and supplier relationship management skills to secure best-in-class deals.
* Experience using procurement or ERP systems, with a preference for Sage Professional.
* A problem-solver who thrives on autonomy, owns their workload, and delivers tangible results.
