Role Overview

This senior civil engineer position offers a unique opportunity to lead engineering strategy and on-site technical control for a major construction project.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in civil engineering, with strong knowledge of temporary works, quality assurance, and lifting operations.
They will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as proficiency in digital tools such as A-Site, Viewpoint, and Microsoft Office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead engineering strategy and on-site technical control
* Provide oversight for setting out, QA, record keeping, and engineering deliverables
* Coordinate and manage temporary works and lifting operations
* Mentor and guide site engineers and graduates
* Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality procedures, and safety protocols
* Develop and review Inspection & Test Plans, method statements and risk assessments
* Identify and resolve technical queries and RFIs
* Drive timely closeout of non-conformances and maintain robust documentation
Requirements

Experience:
* Significant experience in civil engineering across a range of packages: piling, geotechnical, substructures, concrete, steelwork, etc.
* Strong knowledge of temporary works, quality assurance, and lifting operations
Qualifications:
* Degree in Civil Engineering (B.Eng or equivalent)
* Temporary Works Coordinator training
* A61 CPCS Lifting Operations Appointed Person
* Scaffold awareness/inspection
* Lifting operations basic awareness
