The Merrion, one of Dublin's finest luxury hotels and a proud member of The Leading Hotels of the World, is now recruiting for a Public Areas Attendant to join our dedicated Accommodation Services team.

As a Public Areas Attendant, you will:
* Deliver a warm, professional, and helpful service to guests at all times.
* Anticipate guest needs and respond with a caring, prompt attitude to enhance satisfaction.
* Maintain all public areas to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and safety.
* Monitor maintenance issues in public areas and report them as per hotel policy.
* Handle lost property according to departmental procedures.
* Ensure correct and safe use of equipment, chemicals, and materials, always keeping storage areas tidy and well-organised.
* Uphold all health, safety, hygiene, and fire regulations.
* Promote the hotel's services and actively support upselling opportunities.
What we are looking for
* Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining 5* standards.
* Communicates courteously and effectively with colleagues and guests.
* Is flexible, reliable, and works well both independently and as part of a team.
* Understands the importance of guest care and providing anticipative, discreet service.
* Can follow procedures and adapt to the changing needs of the hotel.
* Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel environment is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
This is a full-time role (39 hours per week) with shift work, including weekends and public holidays, on a rota basis.
