As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer / Construction Plant Fitter to join our expanding team. The Role This is a fantastic opportunity for a fully qualified and experienced engineer to take on a varied and rewarding field-based role within the industrial power generation sector. You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of diesel generators and associated power generation equipment across a range of customer sites throughout Ireland. No two days will be the same you will be working with some of the most respected names in construction, hire, and industry, ensuring their critical power equipment is kept in peak operating condition. Key Responsibilities Planned and reactive maintenance of diesel generators and construction plant equipment Fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of diesel engines and electrical generating sets Commissioning of new generator installations on customer sites Completing detailed service reports and job documentation Maintaining strong relationships with customers, providing technical advice and support on-site Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health & safety standards Liaising with the service desk to manage workload and scheduling Requirements Fully qualified relevant trade qualification (City & Guilds, FETAC/QQI or equivalent) in Plant Fitting, Diesel Mechanics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or similar Minimum 23 years' experience in power generation / diesel generator servicing Strong knowledge of diesel engines and generating set systems Ability to diagnose both mechanical and electrical faults confidently Comfortable working independently across multiple sites Excellent communication and customer-facing skills Full, cleandriving licence essential What We Offer Excellent salary: €50,000 €60,000 depending on experience Company van provided Fuel card & expenses covered Ongoing manufacturer training and professional development The opportunity to work with a well-established and respected company in the Irish power generation industry Supportive and experienced team environment
