Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineer to join our team in the development of advanced materials research.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining stable tool operation, developing robust process monitoring protocols, and collaborating closely with senior researchers and postdoctoral scientists.
Salary:
The salary for this position is €65,879 – €77,480 p.a. based on the UCC Senior Technical Officer Salary Scale B.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintaining stable tool operation and troubleshooting issues
* Developing robust process monitoring protocols
* Collaborating closely with senior researchers and postdoctoral scientists
* Documenting processes and experimental results
* Mentoring and training junior team members
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics, material science, chemistry or related discipline, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience operating and developing processes on Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) systems.
The candidate should also have practical experience with vacuum systems and thin film deposition equipment, including basic troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
Familiarity with risk assessments and compliance with safety and quality protocols is also essential.
