Key responsibilities of an Alarm Dispatcher in a GFC include:
* Monitoring security systems:
* This includes CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and other physical security technologies.
* Analyzing alerts and incidents:
* Determining the level of risk and initiating the appropriate response based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Dispatching security personnel:
* Coordinating with on-site security teams to respond to alarms, incidents, or emergencies.
* Maintaining situational awareness:
* Tracking global events and assessing their potential impact on the organization's assets, offices, and personnel.
* Communicating effectively:
* Providing timely and accurate information to internal stakeholders, including security teams, facilities staff, and business leaders, during incidents or disruptions.
* Documenting incidents:
* Maintaining detailed and accurate records of all incidents and activities in GSOC logs and incident management systems.
* Following SOPs:
* Adhering to established protocols for handling various security situations and emergencies.
* Operating GFC technologies:
* Utilizing surveillance systems, alarm monitoring software, and other relevant technologies to manage security operations.
* Providing support to employees and guests:
* Assisting with general security inquiries and providing guidance as needed.
