Portfolio Manager Opportunity
This dynamic position involves coordinating portfolio management activities, contributing to the development, refinement, and delivery of effective portfolio strategies tailored to business needs. The role requires leadership skills to mentor teams of underwriters, actuaries, data scientists, and subject matter experts to achieve departmental objectives. Additionally, the candidate must oversee third-party supplier relationships to ensure alignment with departmental goals.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering pricing and underwriting activities that enhance financial performance and ensure strong customer outcomes.
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, implementing best practices in underwriting processes.
* Monitoring business performance against KPIs, identifying trends in sales and retention to mitigate risks and seize opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a pricing/underwriting management/financial planning and control or risk role, with 3 years of management experience preferred. An experienced insurance professional possessing insurance business knowledge in an evolving risk, regulatory, and corporate governance environment is required. A relevant business degree or accountancy qualification is also desirable.
