Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager Job Description

As a seasoned Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple mechanical contracts from conception to completion. Your expertise in project management, budgeting, and scheduling will ensure seamless execution of projects across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the planning, budgeting, and scheduling of multiple mechanical contracts simultaneously
* Coordinate closely with design and engineering teams to ensure successful project outcomes
* Conduct regular site visits and inspections to guarantee compliance with relevant standards and regulations
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors through effective communication and collaboration
* Manage financial aspects of each project, including cost control and value realization
* Liaise with internal departments to ensure cohesive project delivery and timely decision-making
* Support in preparing proposals and bids for new projects by analyzing market trends and client requirements
* Implement cost-effective procedures to optimize project profitability
* Issue monthly progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and achievements
* Foster productive partnerships with internal and external clients through exceptional customer service and relationship building


Required Skills and Qualifications

A successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

* Mechanical background with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
* 10+ years of experience as a Project / Contracts Manager in the Mechanical HVAC industry
* Extensive experience with tool installation and maintenance is essential for this role
* Experience managing mechanical packages on Life Science or large-scale semiconductor/Data Centre projects for an M&E contractor is highly desirable
* Knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, and Process systems
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
* A full driving license is required for this role
