Overall Purpose of the Job
To work as part of a team, to deliver goals and objectives with a strong focus on the quality to minimize the risk of rework and rejections of product. To participate and contribute to continuous improvement activities within the organization and its processes.
Responsibilities
Ensure product is handled with great care to protect quality and minimize damage and waste
Responsible for the production and/or packing of a variety of products to the agreed standards of efficiency
Ensure that product meets our customer specification
Collaborate and support the team to ensure that product is being packed in the most efficient way.
Ensure wet waste and class 2 are segregated correctly
Ensure that machinery is set up correctly
Operate farm machinery, including Tractors and Sprayers
Collaborate with the team to support smooth and efficient change overs
Check that finished products are closed/sealed correctly and that labels are in the correct position
Pay close attention to the quality of product. Escalate to the Team Leader if a problem is identified
Support the team as required
Experience and qualifications required
Must have valid licence and recent experience of tractor driving
Experience in horticulture farming including crop spraying experience
Ability to work under pressure during busy periods
Flexibility to meet and support the demands of the business
Ability to work on own initiative
Excellent attention to detail
Dependable and punctual
Qualification in Horticulture would be an advantage
