Quality Manager (Mechanical)Location:Dublin 15, with travel across our regionsContract:Full-timeDesigner Group is expanding, and we're looking for a Mechanical Quality Manager who can drive our Quality ethos across Ireland, the UK, Europe, Africa and South America. This is a key leadership role supporting our growing mechanical portfolio and ensuring our projects deliver the highest engineering standards in the industry.Based at our Dublin HQ, you will act as the central coach, subject matter expert and escalation point for quality across all business units. You will lead, influence and support teams to deliver "Right First Time", every day, everywhere.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and continuously improve the Mechanical Quality Management SystemLead, coach and support mechanical quality performance across all regionsManage Mechanical QA reporting, KPIs and digital dashboardsLead, coordinate and develop the Mechanical Quality Assurance team (Field QA, Test Pack Engineers, Welding Coordinators, Inspectors, NDT Specialists)Drive proactive quality improvements through visible leadership and engagementApprove First-of-Kind mock-ups, benchmarks and playbooksOversee development of system and equipment test packsManage data accuracy across DG and client digital QA platforms (e.g. Procore, Eida)Work closely with Operations on documentation, walkdowns, system handover and completenessMonitor and manage snag trends, ensuring issues are addressed promptlyConduct regular audits and inspections across regionsManage and coordinate 3rd party inspections and NDT contractorsConduct root cause analysis, FMEA and implement corrective actionsEnsure compliance with industry standards, regulations and client specificationsTrain project teams on QA best practiceSupport continuous improvement initiatives and Quality-focused culture programmesSkills & RequirementsEU Passport (role requires mobility across regions)Full clean driving licenceThird-level engineering qualification or relevant mechanical trade background5+ years' experience in Mechanical QA/QCStrong knowledge of ISO9001 standards and audit processesExperience with Piping Systems, P&IDs, ASME codes and welding proceduresInternal Auditor (ISO9001) experienceCSWIP 3.1 or equivalent certification highly advantageousAdditional quality inspection qualifications (Paint/Coatings etc.) a plusStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsExperience using digital QA systems (Procore, Eida or similar)IT literacy and comfort with large data-driven platformsFlexibility to travel across DG's regions of operationWhat We OfferDesigner Group is committed to being an employer of choice.
