Operations Supervisor - Evening Shift - Sligo
Location – Onsite Sligo
Shift - Monday to Thursday 3.30pm to midnight - Friday 2.30pm to 10pm
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations & Supply Chain Senior Manager, key responsibilities include leading and maintaining a high-profile presence in the areas of Moulding & Extrusion teams, Assembly Teams plus Warehouse Team.
1. Drive own team and work with other teams to maximize performance.
2. Work with other stakeholders to resolve day to day problems, effect changes in procedures and ramp up line speeds or throughput.
3. Ensure strict compliance with all procedures, regulatory and GMP requirements, quality procedures including record keeping, inspection standards, product disposition and validation protocols.
4. Implement corrective and preventative actions identified through the quality process.
5. Manage your team's time and attendance, including absenteeism/overtime review and occupational health follow-up.
6. Maintain a positive employee relations atmosphere, ensuring that there is good communication and co-operation by encouraging knowledge sharing and open exchange of ideas within the Plant.
7. Take responsibility for training and development of employees on his/her shift. Ensure all employees achieve their full potential and develop their skills to meet the current and future needs of the Operations and Supply Chain Department.
8. Manage team effectively through coaching and counselling where appropriate, leading by example at all times
9. Promote continuous improvement and manage change effectively.
10. Ensure financial performance is maintained at required level with regard to material and labour efficiency.
11. Assist Department Manager and Planners in preparation of schedules.
Provide support as required for projects such as:
12. Process development, optimization and validation
13. Material selection and qualification
14. Equipment / mould procurement and introduction
15. Management of capital projects from inception to completion
16. EHS support and compliance within all areas of the dept.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:
17. General Manufacturing Operators and Process Service Operators will report to the Operations Supervisor
EHS Responsibilities:
18. Foster an awareness of Environmental Health & Safety in the plant and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
19. Maintain plant safety at the highest level with a zero accident target
20. Ensure strict compliance with plant environmental, health and safety policies, including, detailed and timely incident and accident reporting and thorough investigation and corrective action for all hazardous occurrences and accidents and follow-up.
Education Required:
21. A relevant third-level qualification
Knowledge:
22. Proven track record in people management
23. Demonstrated flexible and innovative approach to work
24. At least three years experience in a supervisory role in a GMP manufacturing/Pharmaceutical/Regulated industry.
25. Good problem-solving, communication, computer analysis and decision-making skills are required.
26. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
27. Good human relations skills in dealing with all levels of employees.
