Applications are invited for the Specified Purpose position of
Senior Medical/Cardiorespiratory Oncology Physiotherapist (1 WTE or flexible to 0.8WTE)
in St. Vincent's Private Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead an acute inpatient medical/cardiorespiratory service.
Essential Criteria
The post holder must have:
* BSc in physiotherapy or an equivalent qualification.
* Have CORU registration or be in the process of receiving registration
* Be a member of or eligible for membership of The Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
* A minimum of three years satisfactory post qualification clinical experience to include experience with an acute general medical/ cardiorespiratory population.
* At least 1 year's post graduate acute hospital experience
* Demonstrate sufficient clinical knowledge and evidence based practice to carry out duties and responsibilities of the post.
* Be part of the multidisciplinary team involved in the care for patients.
* Work with the Physiotherapy Manager in ensuring the coordination, development and delivery of quality, client centered physiotherapy service.
* Display effective communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate with health professionals/ patients/ families and carers.
* Demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development.
* Maintain guidelines and protocols relating to the SVPH Physiotherapy service.
Desirable
It is desirable for the post holder to have:
* Geriatric experience
* Vestibular experience
* Acute neurology assessment experience
