OverviewMason Technology is a wholly owned Irish company established in 1780, the principal activities are the distribution and supply of laboratory and analytical instruments.The RoleMason Technology is seeking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to work on our Calibration Team on a full-time permanent contract. The position is based in the midlands/Connacht region with a requirement to travel countrywide when necessary.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for the testing and calibration of electro-mechanical instrumentation products and modules in a laboratory or manufacturing setting in order to maintain functionality and accuracy including but not limited to:PM, Calibration and certification to ISO17025 or ISO9001 of a range of Temperature Control Units including but not limited to: Fridges / Freezers, Ovens, Incubators, Warehouses/Cold-roomsPM, Calibration and certification to ISO17025 or ISO9001 of temperature probes including but not limited to: PT100, PT1000, T Type, K Type, Thermistors.PM, Calibration, and certification to ISO17025 or ISO9001 of a range of piston operated volume units e.g. pipettes, dispensers and burettesPM, Calibration and certification to ISO17025 or ISO9001 of a wide range of Weighing Equipment including but not limited to: Analytical / Semi Micro Balances, Ultra-Micro / Micro Balances, Top Pan Balances, Pit Scales.Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills RequiredA recognised course completed in electrical/instrumentation/mechanical engineering.Previous experience in a similar technical role is essential.Experience of working within Quality systems such as ISO, INAB, etc.Experience of working within Regulatory systems such as FDA, EUP, UKP, IMB, etc.Ability to fault find and repair laboratory equipment.A good knowledge of related industry products and tools.Full clean driving licence is essential.What’s Important to UsThe successful candidate must be willing to work as part of team and off one’s own initiative while liaising with the Team Lead and Coordinators when necessary.Proactive and self-motivated.Excellent work ethic.An individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills.Strong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.Excellent attention to detail.Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.Highly motivated, confident, resilient, and positive attitude.PackageAttractive base salary/Bonus structureCompany Pension/Healthcare/EAPCompany Car/ Van, plus fuel cardHead Office ParkingSocial club and social eventsTravel ticket/bike to workDeath in service/Income protection
