We are conscientious in our work too, demanding the highest standards of one and other, of our work and of our products.OverviewThe Coffee Quality Consultant - Team Lead will lead and develop the national Quality team, drive performance, and ensure delivery of Java Republic standards to customers across Dublin and South Leinster, while collaborating with Sales and Operations to support business objectives.Key Responsibilities and DutiesBeing a strong advocate and champion of company mission, vision and valuesLead and direct the day to day activity of the national Quality team managing a team of four. Overseeing team activities and responsibilities, driving performance across the Quality teamCommunicating effectively with all team members through 1 to 1 meetingsEnsuring that all team members have a clear understanding of their individual objectives and required skills and behaviors and how they contribute to the achievement of business objectivesDeveloping the team, ensuring that all are fully and suitably trained, encouraged and supportedEscalation of issues or challenges to the Operations Manager as necessaryQuality project lead maximising and directing the teams resources in order to fulfil the Quality team objectivesSupporting Java Republic’s customer base in Dublin and South Leinster by delivering training/ education/ knowledge in order to enable them to implement and apply JR standards in delivering coffee and tea to the highest standardWorking in collaboration with the Sales team in showcasing Java Republic coffee and tea products on client visits/ tastings at Java Republic or customer locationsCarrying out customer audits in Dublin and South Leinster area – supporting our customer base to ensure that they deliver Java Republic coffee and tea to the highest standardsApplying skills and initiative to contribute to continuous improvement of product, systems, processes, procedures and standardsBeing aware and open to industry & market trends, customer feedback (and where appropriate, seeking feedback) and competitor analysis and communicating to relevant Java Republic colleaguesEnsure effective use of all resources inclusive of working with other departments in order to offer the best solutions to our customersOther duties as assigned.Key Skills and CompetenciesLeadership and supervisory skillsPractical experience gained in the Specialty Coffee industry (ideally in a training role).Coffee training experience.Enjoy all aspects of working with food and drink – Especially an appreciation of great coffee.A comfortable level of proficiency using Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.A good standard of written and verbal communication in English.Ability to plan and organize working week in line with designated journey planner, respond to emails and arrange outlook calendar appropriatelyAbility to work under pressure, meet deadlines, follow up on customer requests, work/plan autonomously with support of Operations Manager.Structured, patient and thorough approach to trainees.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionConsulting, Information Technology, and SalesIndustriesFood & BeveragesWe’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
