Job Title: Clinical Director (Forensic Psychiatry)

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Director with a specialism in Forensic Psychiatry to join our Psychiatry Team. At Nua Healthcare, we believe that high-quality care is an absolute right for every individual we support.

Job Objectives
The successful candidate will take a lead role in providing high-quality biopsychosocial informed care for patients with mental disorders residing in community-based residences and a small caseload of patients with intellectual disability/dual diagnosis in our intellectual disability centres.
Main duties include:
* Working closely with other Clinical Directors and Consultant Psychiatrists on the National Multi-Disciplinary Team.
* Overseeing measures to meet regulatory standards and compliance with the Mental Health Commission for community-based residences.
* Providing cover for Clinical Directors and Consultant colleagues during periods of leave.
Main Responsibilities
* Taking clinical responsibility for patients in community-based mental health residences.
* Taking clinical responsibility for patients in intellectual disability centres.
* Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team on assessment, formulation, and treatment of individuals with complex needs and forensic risks.
* Contributing to clinical governance and service strategy development.
Requirements
* Full Registration with the Irish Medical Council.
* Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
* Knowledge of relevant standards and legislation.
* Leadership and senior management experience within a large organisation.
* Experience in producing high-quality documentation and reports.
* Experience in psychiatric practice in various settings.
Skills
* Excellent clinical skills using a biopsychosocial perspective.
* Excellent communication skills in English.
* Ability to take a leadership role in multidisciplinary teams.
* Ability to manage time, workload, and prioritise clinical work.
