Job Summary:
The Field Commercial Sales Lead will drive sales and business development of tanks, Cargo Carrying Units (CCUs), and pressure vessels in the offshore oil and gas sector across key regions. The role requires understanding safety regulations, operational needs, and technological demands for offshore equipment. The candidate will develop strategic client relationships, identify new opportunities, and meet sales targets. Reporting to the Business Development Manager (Energy Division).
Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Business Development:
o Lead initiatives to sell tanks, CCUs, mud skips, and pressure vessels in offshore oil and gas, as well as process, pharmaceutical, food, and beverage industries.
o Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and increase market share.
o Engage with potential clients like oil and gas operators, drilling contractors, and EPC companies.
2. Client Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
o Understand client needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
o Handle negotiations, contracts, and project management.
3. Market Analysis and Strategy:
o Conduct market research on trends, competitors, and opportunities.
o Provide insights to senior management for strategic decisions.
o Monitor industry regulations and standards.
4. Technical Consultation:
o Collaborate with technical teams on product specs.
o Present technical solutions to clients, addressing safety and compliance.
5. Sales Performance:
o Achieve sales targets and prepare forecasts and reports.
o Negotiate contracts profitably.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration:
o Work with engineering, product development, and marketing teams.
7. Compliance and Standards:
o Ensure products meet international standards and safety regulations.
Key Skills & Competencies:
* Proficiency in estimating software.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
* Knowledge of mechanical codes and standards.
* Negotiation skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Certifications (Preferred):
* LEED Accreditation.
* Estimating or project management certifications (e.g., PMI).
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or relevant experience).
* Over 3 years of experience in mechanical estimating, preferably offshore equipment and pressure vessels.
* Knowledge of mechanical systems and modular construction.
