The position is based in AnaBio's state of the art Micro Encapsulation Centre of Excellence in Carrigtohill Co CorkDue to capacity expansion we are pleased to announce we are looking to hire additional QC Technicians to join our team. These roles will consist of either day and or shift based positions.RoleSupport quality control analysis activities and the maintenance of supply of key equipment and materials to the laboratory team.Key Responsibilities Accountabilities and Duties· Receive and manage samples that come into the lab for stability, in-process and release testing.· Perform assigned Quality Control analysis activities flow cytometry, primarily probiotic enumeration, moisture analysis, water activity analysis and ph.· Perform inspections and testing on incoming raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.· Record and report inspection and testing results, including deviations from quality standards, in a clear and organized manner.· Trend analysis and reporting on stability and QC testing.· Organise and log samples on a portal for external laboratory testing.· Log test reports from external laboratories.· Calibrate and maintain testing equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy in quality control processes.· Follow established quality control procedures and protocols to maintain consistency in the production process.· Daily management of glassware cleaning to ensure sufficient supply of clean glassware to the laboratory team.· Preparation of diluents and media depending on laboratory team requirements.· Participate in the development and revision of quality control procedures as needed.· Archiving of retained samples· Monitoring, measuring and recording performance of key laboratory equipment (fridges, incubators etc.)· Maintain laboratory housekeeping standards and general laboratory support tasks as required· Monitor and enforce adherence to safety and quality regulations and guidelines.· Assist in the investigation of customer complaints and product returns, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.· Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous process improvement projects.· Collaborate with production teams to identify and address quality issues and recommend corrective actions.· Train production and other staff on quality control procedures and best practices.Education/Experience:· Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in science related discipline· Experience in a laboratory environmentPerson Specification· Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with all levels of colleagues in a team environment· Strong organisational, planning and time-management skills· Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.· Good attention to detail· Ability to think logically and be proactive.· Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative in a constructive mannerOther· Perform any other relevant duties assigned by your manager, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the department and the organization.· Uphold the organization's values of Customer Focus, Innovation, Communication, Health & Safety, and Ownership in all aspects of the role, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.The above statements are intended to describe the essential responsibilities of the persons assigned to this role.
