Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate part‑time Food & Beverage Trainer to support the development of our food and beverage offerings at The Grace, Westport Estate. This role is focused on embedding exceptional service fundamentals, elevating operational standards, and guiding teams toward refined luxury dining experiences. The successful candidate will work closely with operational leaders and department managers to ensure service excellence, consistency, and best practice across all food and beverage outlets. This is a hands‑on training role requiring strong floor presence, coaching ability, and a deep understanding of luxury hospitality standards.
Responsibilities
Deliver practical and engaging training programmes across all Food & Beverage departments. Build strong foundations in core service skills including guest engagement and hospitality, service sequence and standards, food and beverage knowledge, table maintenance and attention to detail, grooming, professionalism, and communication. Support the transition from strong operational basics into elevated luxury dining and personalised guest experiences. Coach teams on anticipating guest needs and delivering intuitive, refined service. Work collaboratively with Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager, Supervisors, and wider Operations teams to identify training needs and performance gaps. Conduct regular floor‑based coaching, live service observations, and feedback sessions. Assist managers in implementing and maintaining best practice service standards. Support onboarding and induction training for new team members. Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, and service guidelines aligned with luxury hospitality standards. Monitor consistency across outlets and ensure standards are sustained during busy service periods. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence. Assist in preparing teams for audits, mystery guest evaluations, and VIP service requirements.
Qualifications
Previous experience in luxury hotel or high‑end restaurant operations.
Proven background in Food & Beverage training, coaching, or supervisory leadership.
Strong understanding of luxury dining etiquette and service standards.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with operational management.
Passion for developing people and building service confidence.
Ability to balance training delivery with operational realities.
Flexible availability to support peak service periods, evenings, and weekends where required.
Part‑time – 3 days per week.
