Job Title: Quality and Compliance Officer
This role will see you working closely with the Compliance and Safeguarding Manager to design, implement and lead audits across services.
* Design and implement audits in collaboration with the Compliance and Safeguarding Manager.
* Carry out audits, set and review action plans for improvement.
* Monitor and report on regulatory compliance.
* Lead quality improvement projects and report progress against project plans.
* Maintain up-to-date electronic data on compliance/quality improvement programmes.
* Provide reports from analysis and monitoring of data to track trends, identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
* Support KPI development and implementation across services.
* Compile reports including statistics, charts and analysis to support quality work.
* Deliver training and coaching in systems and processes.
* Mentor teams to understand and operate in line with processes, quality improvement programmes and regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate the implementation of new systems, structures and processes arising from organisational development.
* Undertake stakeholder engagement, surveys and consultations as required.
* Work with the line Manager to ensure relevant compliance policies and procedures are in place.
* Review policies within timeframes and coordinate the policy review process.
* Update and amend service provision policies when necessary.
* Raise safeguarding or serious non-compliance issues to the Head of Services immediately.
* Collaborate and coordinate with other support functions on compliance issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
A primary degree in Social Care, ID Nursing, Psychology or Behavioural Support Specialist is required. A specific qualification in Quality Management and relevant experience in auditing and using quality systems is also essential. Significant relevant experience in quality and safety & service development in a social care setting is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a compliance officer role, with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. They will be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
