Position: Electrical Instrumentation or Electrical Technician
What does the position involve
This position will be installing, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing industrial electrical equipment, control systems and process instrumentation. Performing troubleshooting on PLC's, motors and sensors, following safety protocols to ensure plant equipment operates efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
* Apply the site electrical preventative maintenance program.
* Carry out work orders in a timely and safe manner while maintaining adherence & full compliance with company procedures
* Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions in electrical and electro-mechanical systems
* Preventive/Reactive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance to prevent issues and address emergency breakdowns promptly
* Test, inspect and certify installations.
* Work with PLC /Systems and fault find
* Develop in-depth working knowledge of the site electrical equipment
* Complete all work orders and associated paperwork in full
* Complete training and review of SOPs on compliance
* Follow all Health and Safety Rules and Regulations on the Site.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience & Competencies Required:
* Electrical Instrumentation QQI Level 6 or Equivalent Electrical Instrumentation Qualified or Electrical QQI Level 6 or Equivalent
* Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience as a Maintenance Technician in Industry
* High level of competency in electrical work / electrical engineering
* Experience of machines & process equipment, controls & automation
* Experience in electrical & mechanical installations & maintenance
* Good communication skills both written & oral, to meet the requirements of the job in full
* Ability to work on own initiative, with minimum supervision, and as part of a team.
* Strong organizational and planning skills
* Ability to apply logic to solving problems
* Demonstrate Initiative
* Adaptability
* Has a flexible approach to working hours (shift work, overtime and on call).
