Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced
IT Project Manager
to lead the delivery of complex IT systems and applications that will support the establishment of a new manufacturing facility in Galway. This is a
daily rate contract role
suited for a driven professional with a proven track record in managing cross-functional IT projects in regulated environments.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful execution against key milestones and delivery timelines. The role involves close collaboration with global and local stakeholders, and requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide end-to-end IT project management leadership for systems and applications supporting a new manufacturing site.
* Oversee all phases of the organization's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and ensure adherence to project governance and quality standards.
* Take full responsibility for the project schedule, milestones, and deliverables.
* Deliver clear and accurate project updates and health reports to stakeholders and leadership through structured communication channels.
* Facilitate collaboration across teams to ensure timely delivery of milestones, outputs, and cross-functional alignment.
* Gain proficiency with internal project management tools, systems, and frameworks as needed.
* Complete required training within the organization's Learning Management System (LMS).
* Proactively identify risks and deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions through structured problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
* Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, ensuring effective communication and a strong project culture.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, ideally within manufacturing, medical devices, or regulated industries.
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies and SDLC processes.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders across global teams.
* Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
* Strong problem-solving, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
* Experience working in an environment with structured quality and compliance standards is an advantage.
* Availability to work onsite in Galway as required.
