Job Description
A fantastic and hugely exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious leader for a Director of Engineering role at our Small Molecule Commercialisation Site in Ballydine, Co. Tipperary, Ireland. The Director of Engineering will serve as leader of the Site Engineering organisation and will be responsible for leading a dynamic, highly motivated, high-performing team at an exciting stage in the transformation of our site. This Director role will report directly to the Plant Manager and serve as part of the site leadership team.
This role is accountable for the day to day, safe, complaint and reliable operation of our manufacturing site.
Primary Responsibilities:
Facilities & Utilities Management:
* Site Utilities Management Oversee the efficient maintenance and operation of our vaccine manufacturing utilities and facilities.
* Integrated Facility Management (IFM) Model: Manage facilities using the Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) model, overseeing both hard and soft services.
* Energy Optimisation: Partner with regional leaders focus on strategic energy management.
Engineering Systems and Capital Portfolio Management
* Deliver Site Maintenance Programs: Manage reliability excellence, and oversee preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
* Engineering Systems: Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of engineering systems and laboratory facilities.
* Planning and Execution: Oversee the planning and execution of site capital projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and efficient resource use in partnership with our global engineering services team (GES). Sponsor and deploy site project management framework to deliver projects flawlessly.
* Outsourced Engineering Stores: Manage relationships with outsourced engineering stores, ensuring effective service and cost management.
Sustainability, Safety and Environmental Standards
* Sustainability Lead and deliver our Site Sustainability Strategy in line with local and the company network targets across energy, waste, water and Biodiversity while also building a culture of a sustainability mindset on site.
* GES Standards: Adhere to Global Engineering Solutions (GES) engineering standards, ensuring that site operations meet global benchmarks.
* Site Security and IED Compliance: Ensure compliance with site security systems and regulations such as the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) regulations.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Quality Management Systems (QMS), and engineering standards by integrating these requirements into standard operational procedures.
* Quality Risk Management (QRM): Serve as a decision-maker in managing quality risks, ensuring that all engineering activities meet high standards of quality and compliance.
* Local Standards: Maintain compliance with all applicable local regulations and standards.
Continuous Improvement & Efficiency:
* Maintenance transformation: Drive a program of Maintenance transformation in alignment with company programs
* Six Sigma: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by deploying Six Sigma tools and methodologies within the Engineering Department.
* Lean Principles: Implement lean principles to standardize problem-solving processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Strategic Planning and Compliance:
* Site SLT Member: Actively participate in the Site Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to help shape and implement strategies that align with customer and corporate requirements.
* Site Master Planning: Develop and implement master plans to guide long-term site development and operational strategies.

Education Minimum Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharma industry including Engineering /manufacturing experience
