The Hospital is proud to hold many quality accreditations including JCI, INAB and ESMO.We are now inviting applications for the position of Basic Grade Cardiac PhysiologistPost: Full-time, Permanent position.Our competitive compensation and benefits package is continually reviewed and adjusted in line with market trends.Essential Eligibility Criteria:Possess the Certificate in Medical Physics & Physiological Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology in Kevin Street, or equivalent. Must have a minimum of 12 months experience as a Cardiac Physiologist.Be enthusiastic, competent, hardworking and willing to develop new skills.Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with management, consultants, staff, patients and visitors to the hospital.Role Responsibilities of the post include, and are not limited to:Perform routine work to the highest standard, as determinedPerforming and analysing Electrocardiography (ECG) recordingsPerforming and analysing Holter monitoring studies and Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM)Performing and analysing exercise stress testingPerforming and analysing echocardiography and associated cardiac studies, appropriate to level of trainingPerforming haemodynamic monitoring and procedural documentation during invasive and non-invasive cardiac proceduresPerforming and analysing aspects of cardiac rhythm device management, including implant support, routine follow-up, and basic programming under supervisionAdditional ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate clinical records and documentationEnsure patient safety, comfort, and dignity at all timesAdhere to infection control, health and safety, and professional standardsParticipate in training, supervision, and continuous professional developmentWork effectively as part of a multidisciplinary cardiac team line with departmental and hospital policies and clinical governance requirementsOn Offer:Full-time permanent contract working for 35 hours per weekCentrally located in Cork CityFree offsite parkingSubsidised meals and servicesFriendly working environmentTop Benefits PackageInformal enquiries to: Avril MansworthClosing date for receipt of applications is 12pm on 23rd January 2026Bon Secours Health System is an equal opportunities employer.
