Staff Nurse – Cork City & County
Horizons is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse to support people with intellectual disability and/or autism in Cork.
Salary: The 13‑point salary scale for the post as of 01/08/2025 (Pro rata for part‑time posts):
New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.
Application Criteria
* Possess a relevant third level qualification in Nursing, be on the live register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
* Possess a valid up to date work visa to work in Ireland.
* Have very good interpersonal skills and the flexibility to meet the changing needs of the people Horizons supports are essential requirements.
* Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is an advantage.
* Have proficient IT Skills
* Be flexible and a team player
* A full clean driving licence is desirable.
