This programme offers hands-on project work, supporting schools and youth services with professional development and upskilling in learning experiences focused on hydrogen energy technology and STEM education.Role:Education Officer (Science and Engineering)Location:Hybrid (work from home or hub with travel as required)Contract:Full TimeResponsibilitiesProgramme Implementation & Support:Be part of a new team with a focus on activation and scaling of Kinia's Hydrogen Education Programmes nationally.Support schools and youth services with professional development and upskilling to deliver Kinia's Hydrogen Education Programme with students and young people.Manage project timelines and deliverables for specific programme components.Oversee the distribution of educational materials and equipment.Collect and monitor feedback from participants to ensure high standards are maintained.Keep a watching brief on emerging technologies and develop proposals and opportunities to innovateHydrogen Focus:Support the development and implementation of project-based learning experiences related to Hydrogen Energy Technology.Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships:Assist in building and maintaining relationships with schools, educators, and youth services.Support coordination with partners like third-level institutions or industry stakeholders.Help promote STEM education and renewable energy awareness.Event Support:Assist in the organisation and coordination of programme-related events or competitionsRequirementsQualifications:Completed or expecting to complete a 3rd Level qualification in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Energy Systems) or a related Technical/Scientific field.Experience:Experience facilitating science or engineering workshops or events for non-technical audiences.Demonstrable interest or project experience in sustainable energy technologies (Hydrogen knowledge a plus).Commitment to education, social impact, and equal opportunity.A full, clean driver's license.Desirable:Experience with stakeholder engagement.Irish Language proficiency.Skills and CompetenciesSkills and CompetenciesStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks and deadlines.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Enthusiastic communicator of the potential of renewable energy and sustainability technologies.Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external partners.Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.An adaptable, "start-up" mindset, ready for new initiativesAdditional Information:Contract and Probation period:This is a full-timeSalary Range:Salary ca €34, ,000 per annum, depending on experienceOther Benefits:Pension SchemeAfter the successful completion of probation, all Kinia staff members are eligible to join our PRSA pension scheme, administered through New Ireland.
