Job Title:
Leading Children's Services is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, creativity, and the ability to work effectively with families and multi-disciplinary colleagues. In this position, you will have a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day delivery of services and developing the service in line with Personal Outcomes Measures.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership and management to a team of educators, teachers, special needs assistants, and support workers. 2. Develop and implement programs that meet the unique needs of children with intellectual disabilities, autism, complex medical needs, sensory needs, and behavioral challenges. 3. Work collaboratively with families, multidisciplinary teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and service delivery. 4. Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify individualized goals and outcomes for each child. 5. Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups, schools, and healthcare providers to enhance our services and opportunities for children. 6. Lead and participate in training courses, workshops, and conferences to stay up-to-date on best practices and evidence-based interventions.

Requirements:
1. A current Live Register Certificate from the NMBI (An Bord Altranais) is an essential requirement. 2. RNID/RMHN qualification is desirable. 3. A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience gained in services for people with intellectual disabilities. 4. Experience working with children with autism, complex medical needs/sensory needs and supporting positive behavior is an advantage. 5. A full clean manual driving license, which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish roads is an essential requirement. It may also be necessary for the appointee to obtain a Class D1 Driving License if not already in possession of one. Assistance will be given towards this purpose of obtaining a class D1 license. 6. Fluency in verbal and written English is an essential requirement of this post. 7. Candidates must demonstrate good judgment, discretion, and confidentiality. The ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms, and to communicate sensitively with family members and work with them for the best outcomes. Creative problem-solving skills are also required. 8. Ability to work independently and seek support from multi-disciplinary colleagues as appropriate. Patience, flexibility, creativity, and eagerness to become involved in a range of activities. Ability to educate other staff and family members in positive health promotion needs.

Benefits:
1. Competitive salary scale - €56,081 x 7 increments - €66,045 pro-rata per annum. 2. Permanent, part-time, and pensionable post. 3. Annual leave: 25 days pro-rata per annum.
