Technical Processing Engineer – Unilin Insulation, UK & Ireland
UNILIN is seeking a technically minded Technical Processing Engineer to join our team in Navan. This role is central to ensuring the smooth running of our foam and chemical processes, maintaining product quality, and driving efficiency across our production lines.

Position: Technical Processing Engineer
Reporting to: Factory Manager
Responsibilities
Responsible for all elements of technical processing, foam and chemical related activities on site and their impact on finished board quality and line efficiency and throughput.
Key Tasks and Duties
* Responsible for the smooth running of the chemical laydown area, including managing all elements of the process.
* Responsible for the quality of the PIR board produced.
* Trouble shooting and effective problem solving on the production line from a process perspective.
* Develop strong relationships with all stakeholders in production.
* In conjunction with the Department head, conduct line trials on new materials recording data and reporting accurately.
* Responsible for overseeing all aspects of raw material stock using SAP.
* Responsible for the completion of the daily in-process QC checks and finished product testing, data recording and analysis.
* Responsibility for compliance to all product declarations.
* Supervise and manage the laboratory and process technician team.
* Work closely with the site management team to ensure the site is a safe, clean and environmentally sound location through auditing and standard setting.
* Management of the H+S of the personnel working in the Lab Department with particular focus on the implementation of the ZERO HARM programme.
* Where required manage product testing, certification work and external audits.
* In conjunction with the other members of the management team, oversee the smooth and effective running of the Unilin Navan site and the effective delivery of the site objectives and targets.
* Responsible for driving key KPI’s: foam wet density, line speed, line efficiency and first pass/total A grade.
* In conjunction with the quality department work to minimise and investigate customer complaints when they arise. Ensure they are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
* Work with site and company management to influence and deliver on CAPEX projects.
* Promote the values of the company.
* Undertake training as required.
* Perform any other reasonable tasks as requested from management.
Qualifications / Experience
Qualification or experience in chemistry, technical processing or manufacturing desirable.
